Anxiety

It seems so many things in life today can leave us feeling anxious, nervous, or overly worried about ourselves and those we love. Turn on the news, pick up a paper; there’s a lot to be anxious about.
Stedman’s Medical Dictionary defines anxiety as: “A state of uneasiness and apprehension, as about future uncertainties. A state of intense apprehension, uncertainty, and fear resulting from the anticipation of a threatening event or situation, often to a degree that normal physical and psychological functioning is disrupted. Eager, often agitated desire.”
