Reiki
Reiki, (pronounced ray-key), is a profound and ancient healing system. It draws on the body’s own healing capacities by accessing energy points and meridians, much like acupuncture, but without the needles.
Reiki is a stress reduction and relaxation technique that aids the body’s natural ability to find balance. It is based on the principle of “universal life energy”, collecting and focusing this energy for the benefit of the whole person.
Reiki is not a spiritual system, so it will not interfere with religious beliefs and can be used in conjunction with any other medical or therapeutic technique.
Your Reiki Session
A Reiki session at A Healing Place is 60 minutes of light touch, hands-on Reiki, plus a little extra time to discuss a client’s concerns or experiences. The client lies peacefully on a treatment/massage table, fully clothed and often with a blanket for comfort, or can be seated in a chair, as need be. Reiki is a meditative and deeply relaxing way to immediately decrease your stress level.
What Reiki May Help
Reiki has many benefits which may include, decreased anxiety, stress, blood pressure,and pain response; an increased immune response, relaxation, sleep pattern enhancement, and feelings of calm and a sense of well-being.
Reiki has been known to be helpful in a variety of conditions such as headaches, fatigue, back pain, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, fibromyalgia, stroke, and cancer treatments.
Reiki is also wonderful for pets of any kind, and can be used for healing or to assist and support a pet’s passing.
